Finished up the Hood on Kens FJ!

SO I have had this hood for wayyyy too long! I started this hood back before Christmas! In my defense we paused this project to get Kens hand rail designed and welded up. (Ill post up pictures of that later as I am delivering the hood and will snap some shots of the finished railing.) "It turned out awesome and I'm very happy with it" is what Ken had to say when I asked about it.
To date I have completed both fenders, the windshield frame, and now the hood. I still have all 4 of the doors, the entire hard top, and I need to get over to his house and weld the firewall to the new tub he bought out of South America somewhere. The quality of the tub awesome!

Pitted pretty badly. There are several places on the hood like this but over all the hood will be ok once the body guy does his share.
Drilling out the spot welds to separate the metal without distorting anything.

Bad area removed and ready for the new patch.

New patch being checked for fitment.

All wrapped up with the exception of a bit more weld to make sure it doesn't crack  over time.

Decorative bits

Here are a few decorative items I have finished in the past. The first is a Storm Door Inlay that was don with a roller, and then I built a angle Iron frame to use as a guide for size. I added washers to the corners so the entire piece could be removed to clean the glass still.

This is a set of tables made of aluminum. They were finished with black powder coat.

1929 Ford Coupe "Rat Rod"

This is the first ""early" car I had worked on. We started with a shell of a cab, and a stock chassis.
Modifications include a "Z'd" back half, boxed frame, channeled floor, and a host of other mods.

1935 Ford Slantback floor replacement.

This is a friends car that was picked up a few years back and has just been sitting. He had been slowly gathering parts but was "stuck" because he doesn't do metal work. I have included a link to the album aside from the few snap shots here.

1946 Plymouth Special Deluxe

A project for my wife! This will be the rebirth of this 1946 Plymouth Special Deluxe.
It has received some new bones thanks to the sacrifice of a young S10 truck. I plan to install all of the S10 wiring, A/C, etc. into the old 46 but keep everything looking original.

1928 Ford truck (Roadster to be)

This is the most recent project. A 1928 Ford truck. We recently picked up an entire truck and will only be using the cab, bed, doors, and radiator shroud. All the rest will soon be for sale.
Plans for this are to make it a "roadster". This means there will be no roof, and a short windshield.
